OUR DIRECTOR
I have a formal education in the visual arts and I learned the basic tools of The Sensorium in 2001 at the summer S.A.R. as it is taught by the IASHS in San Francisco, California; since that time I have crafted a unique version of my own design.
In 2019 I completed my training as a Wellness Massuer with Anatolij Körner in Berlin, Germany. In 2020, I completed trainings in facial massage and deep tissue / sports massage with Thorsten Feller and Lomilomi with Julie Van Wart; all taught at the Massage & Wellness Akademie in Berlin, Germany.
I was first attuned to Reiki in 2010 and became a Master Teacher in 2017. My Reiki heritage is as follows: Dr. Mikao Usui - Dr. Chujiro Hayashi - Hawayo Takata - Seiji Takamori - Ranga J. Premaratne - Rev. Monika Jungermann - Katherine Borkenhagen. I hail from a long line of warm mystics.

OUR DIRECTION
All of the work herein is about love and loving communication. How to actively and deeply listen, how to exercise empathy and vulnerability when enmeshed in shame based, colonizing cultures, and how to prioritize the soft, intuitive voice of the living fabric--and then act upon its wisdom.
The Sensorium Institute is a site for mystical(-political) and body centered praxes, offering folks the space and time to reorient toward the felt world. To celebrate its opening, we will host a ritual Sensorium monthly to celebrate haptic space ♡. [Most group activities, e.g., Sensoriums are modified or on hold for the time being; we'll announce things as they unfold.]
The day-to-day staples we offer are Reiki, massage, tarot readings, and Sensoriums. We also feature an exciting complimentary program with mystics, witches, weirdos, queerdos, body workers, land-based practitioners, and folks from colonized communities who seek space. We aim to be as gender inclusive and sex- and body-positive as possible and respectful of the needs and wishes of black and indigenous folks, people of color, and folkx from colonized communities.
To rebel against the global, colonial projects of The United States and Europe is an affirmation of self-love and wellness. To landback, unsettling, demilitarization, and decolonial efforts the world over: ♡♡♡
