The Sensorium Tarot has the amazing ability of transformation - coming from a place of abundance and generosity. My first contact with it was made long before its name was invented, and it was beautiful. MASSAGE
Thank you Melissa! Since I got there, she made me feel very comfortable, welcome and safe at all times, which is a major plus for not-so-experienced massagees as myself. It was such an intense experience (in a good way!), not your typical massage, she really puts her energy and perception to figure out what your body is saying.
As I left the massage room, I felt not only relaxed and peaceful, but lighter and even emotional. I literally recommended it to a few of my friends before reaching the train station to head home, as I was so excited I couldn't wait to share! What she does I can only describe as the closest thing to magic I've experienced. Will be coming back for more for sure. So... super recommended! I have been to Melissa twice, once for a Wellness Massage & Reiki and once for a Lomi Lomi Nui massage - and I knew after the first time that I would book with her again and again. For both Reiki and Lomi Lomi Nui, it was my first time and both treatments were amazing! Melissa is so warm, welcoming and accommodating that you feel right at home. She explained beforehand what to expect and guided me both times through the massages in a very empathetic and sensitive way. I can let go with Melissa like no massage I've had before because I feel very well taken care of with her.
I can't even put the massages and the Reiki itself into words. It feels wonderful and relaxing physically, of course, but most of all energetically. The energy really flowed through me and after the treatment I felt like I was walking on clouds. Melissa creates an environment where you can let yourself go. I feel safe and secure with her every time. Her warmth makes you forget everyday life. First, aromas lure me into the realm of the sensorium. First of all, an anamnesis sheet is created very professionally. Melissa Steckbauer created a room filled with security and warmth right from the start. Her very pleasant manner instantly gave me a positive feeling during the warm welcome.
She kindly explained her technique and the course of the Reiki treatment. She asked about my ideas, preferences, and wishes, to which she responded with sensitivity. This helped me to relax and enjoy the session. While I was lying on the comfortable couch, I felt Melissa's relaxed presence. During the treatment I experienced different sensations in my body e.g., tingling, warm waves, inner images, thoughts, and feelings. My breath became more and more calm and a deep sense of relaxation filled me. Melissa gently brought me back from the Reiki journey.

I had a perfectly calming Reiki session with Melissa. Her offer for the session came at the right time, when I needed peace and acceptance in life. THE SENSORIUM
The Sensorium was a feast of synesthesia. I was transformed to different lands through three dimensional sounds, lifted into the air by gentle strokes of touch on my skin, comforted by the weight of an entire body (or two?) laying upon me, and shocked into recognition of extremes, in both temperature and material. The real and the hyperreal merged together, heightening my ability to really feel, even if for a second, that ice, not metal, was being pressed into my skin, or that chickens were swirling up a sandstorm around me. This loss of logic through submission of the senses served to "wake me up" in a way that stayed with me the rest of the day. Fed also by the reciprocal exchange of giving/receiving, trust, and improvising together, I look forward to participating in the Sensorium again and again."

For me the Sensorium was a very special experience of physical awareness, trust, and sensual perception. The smaller rituals were unpretentiously connected to each other, fascinating, and impactful. The Sensorium is a one of kind experience focusing on the art of receiving and giving attention intensively. It explores the senses in a non-erogenous / non-erotic / non-sexual way, and is shaped by the participant's own boundaries. It's a great way to get out of one's comfort zone and experience something that is not only unique but also incredibly freeing. Being intimate with strangers is not something we are used to, but which can be very interesting and assist in the process of letting go. These few hours feel like seconds spent in another world where the wellbeing of everyone is all that matters. And what would the Sensorium be without Melissa? Nothing, most definitely. She has the gift of making one feel instantly welcome, liked, and integrated as soon as you walk through the door. I will definitely come back!

My trip to and within the Sensorium was truly unforgettable. While lying down on a pile of cushions (after being blindfolded), several people engulfed me in a shower of sensations that they produced with their hands and feet, voices, breath, and even their whole bodies, all in combination with objects of the strangest kind. While being touched and caressed in such unconventional and creative ways I could feel the most unusual feelings, and at some point, a flow of energy I would describe as Chi. It was a very erotic, yet never sexual experience. I recommend the Sensorium as a highly co-creative method of learning about Plato’s concept of the eros.“
